Many of Sheila’s clients wonder if she has always been an organized person. The answer is an enthusiastic “Yes!” As a child, she happily spent hours organizing her bedroom and closet. As an adult, her friends, family, and co-workers have commented on her natural talent to give everything a proper place and system.
Sheila spent 21 years working as an Assisted Technology Practitioner for a local home health care rehab company. During this time, she enjoyed getting to know her clients and helping them find the right tools to improve accessibility and mobility and stay in their homes longer. Great communication skills and an easy-going manner have helped her become a trusted professional in her community. Her clients describe her as fun, outgoing, non-judgmental, and resourceful.
She finally decided to take the plunge and become a professional organizer.
She launched SheOrganizes (short for Sheila Organizes) to help her clients find the right balance of “stress-free organizing to fit your life.” This means that the process and outcome doesn’t have to be “perfect.” Each client is unique and has a different desire for how an organized space should look and function. For some, it means Pinterest-worthy spaces, complete with lined-up rows of gorgeous matching baskets. For others, being organized simply means being able to find what they need at a moment’s notice.
Sheila’s goal is to meet her clients where they are, with the end result of discovering their own perfect level of organization that leads to a stress-free life.
In recent years, Sheila found her organizing clients were asking for help with more than their “stuff.” She realized that adding life coaching was a perfect complement to her services. Now, as a certified professional coach, she helps clients set and reach their goals beyond the organizing realm.
Life coaching allows her clients to discover areas for improvement and create a path toward happiness.
When she is not organizing and coaching, Sheila loves spending time with her husband and two teenagers. Her family owns five Arabian horses, and she and her daughter compete on a national level. She is a dog lover — her family includes a Havanese, Maltese, and Labradoodle. She also has a passion for decorating her own home, incorporating classic design (and a touch of trendiness) with functionality.
She is a member of the National Association of Professional Organizers (NAPO) and NAPO-Connecticut. She is also a Certified Professional Coach with the Fowler International Academy of Professional Coaching.
